First, I would like to express my gratitude to the U.S. House of Representatives for humanitarian effort to the Uighur disaster. Second, I would like to express my gratitude to the U.S. House of Representatives for understanding our plight at our most difficult times.
Today, U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019 (UIGHUR Act 2019). By this, America is sending a message to the world that they will not only make a statement over sever human rights abuses in the Uyghur region, but also will take necessary concrete actions when necessary.
It is certain that CCP will increase its inordinate accusations against the United States as well as Uyghur activist within China and in the Uyghur diaspora, and in the worst case scenario they will accelerate their crackdown and hidden genocide in East Turkestan after this resignation. However, I believe that this massage will awaken a lot of governments, leaders, organizations and companies who still cooperate with China on this ethnic genocide, and even these who support it. This will hopefully lead to a reconsideration on the true nature of the concentration camps which China calls as “vocational training centers”.
More importantly, the passing of UIGHUR Act with absolute majority vote will soon be taken as necessary steps and provide us legal means to stop China from this extremely horrible human rights abuses over Uyghur and other Turkic minorities in East Turkestan. This not only serves as a light of hope for the Uyghurs who are living
in the darkest and most horrible times of its history, but it also signals the people who have suffered from brutality and dictatorship around the world that humanity and compassion have not died in the world.
Consequently, I congratulate all the diligent human rights activists, researchers, journalists and associations who chose to stand with justice. At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the U.S. House of Representatives for this demonstration of their responsibility and vigilant on the Uyghur issue. In particular, on behalf of the millions of Uyghur people, I would like to express my gratitude to Senator Marco Rubio, Congressman Chris Smith, Senator Bob Menendez and Speaker Nancy Pelosi who have been very helpful in presenting and signing this bill.
